Today Paradox and The Chinese Room revealed the second playable clan for the upcoming action RPG Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2, Tremere
The clan focuses on long-distance combat, using arcane power to control blood, whether it's the enemies' or the character's. You can boil your target's blood, rip it from their veins, or even shape your own into projectiles.
During the timeline of the game, the Tremere clan is recovering from an attack on their chantry, but they haven't been destroyed.
This is pretty much the opposite compared to the previous clan reveal, the Brujah, which was pretty much all about getting up close and personal with the enemies.
Below you can see a very brief trailer showcasing gameplay of a Tremere protagonist in action.
We also get to see a render of what the customizable protagonist Phyre may look like as a female Tremere elder kindred.
It's worth mentioning that, while this look appears to be what the developers are going with, you can customize your gender if you so wish.
Last week we heard that, while the game will have four playable clans at launch, two DLC are planned, and each will add a new clan to the mix, offering new ways to play the game. Considering that this is a Paradox game, I don't think anyone's surprised that we hear of DLC a year before release.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 will be released in fall 2024 or PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It's developed by The Chinese Room after the previous developer, Hardsuit Labs, exited the project causing development to be rebooted alongside an indefinite delay.
Now everything appears to be back on track and we're scheduled to see the first full-fledged gameplay in January, while the next playable clan will be revealed on November 30.
