Have you ever spent a lazy Sunday watching This Old House and wishing that you too could build an Adirondack chair? Well, good news! The Woodwork Simulator pre-alpha has been launched on Itch.io and the game will be making its way to Steam whenever the heck it's done. This game is from the same folks who made PC Building Simulator, so you know it's probably gonna be pretty good!
In the Woodwork Simulator pre-alpha, you... well, you work on wood. It's a very straightforward game. You're given a set of carpenters tools and consumable goods and you smash the lot of them together in order to make stuff just like any other carpenter wood. It's plane to see how this be an interesting game!
The Woodwork Simulator pre-alpha has four modes according to a press release from The Irregular Corporation. Three of the game's modes focus on specific challenges and the fourth mode is simply a free-build sandbox that lets you mess around with the tools. Speaking of tools, you'll be able to do quite a few things in this game:
- Saw
- Drill
- Chisel
- Plane
- Lathe
- Sand
- Glue
Woodwork Simulator seems like a pretty neat game, but we can't say for sure when we're going to get our hands on it. The Irregular Corporation lists the planned release date as "When it is done!" on Steam, so it could be several months to several years before you're able to get a more robust copy of this game.
If Woodwork Simulator seems like your kind of jam, you can play the Woodwork Simulator pre-alpha for free on Itch.io right now. You can also add the game to your wishlist on Steam. In the meantime, why not check out the game's Announcement Trailer and see some New Yankee woodworking in action?
