The UK boxed sales charts data for the week ending December 23rd is here, and you'll never guess which perennial sports favorite has managed to cling to the top spot.

That's right: it's EA Sports FC 24's race once again, with the soccer game clinging to the dominance it's enjoyed over several previous weeks in the chart.

Second place for this week goes to Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which has also enjoyed its fair share of chart-topping success since it launched back in October.

It's no "wonder" Super Mario Bros. Wonder is so successful.

In third place this week, it's the other game that's constantly jostling for supremacy with EA Sports FC 24 and Super Mario Bros. Wonder, namely magical RPG Hogwarts Legacy.

Fourth place goes to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the first content season for which dropped earlier this month.

In fifth, it's Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and if you've rinsed the superhero epic, you'll be pleased to know that a big new update is coming in the new year, bringing New Game Plus and more.

Don't worry, Kraven. More Spider-Man 2 is on the way.

In sixth, it's Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and in seventh, it's Nintendo Switch Sports. Intriguingly enough, all four of these games are non-movers, so they're exactly where they were in last week's chart.

The same can't be said for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, which has enjoyed a small boost, leaping from twelfth to eighth place. Not bad for a game that resolutely failed to impress our very own Andrew Stretch.

Ninth place goes to Minecraft, and in tenth, it's Grand Theft Auto V, which is no doubt enjoying a boost thanks to the astronomical popularity of the recently-revealed GTA 6 trailer.

Here's a quick rundown of eleventh through fifteenth place in the UK boxed sales charts this week: Assassin's Creed MirageJust Dance 2024 EditionSonic SuperstarsMario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, and Gran Turismo 7.
