Today Ubisoft announced relevant changes to the way its subscription services work, merging Ubisoft+ Multi-Access and PC Access into one.

The two services, previously dedicated respectively to Xbox and PC, will now merge into Ubisoft+ Premium, which will provide games on Xbox, PC, and Amazon Luna with a single subscription.

Said subscription, priced at $17.99 a month, will let player get access to a large number of catalogue title plus day-one access to new Ubisoft games. In some cases, like the new Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you'll get early access as well.

The service also offers premium editions, DLC, and more, which is fairly unique in the subscription industry.

If you'd rather spend a smaller monthly fee, while getting older games, a second service has been announced for PC only, and it's Ubisoft+ Classics.

This service costs $7.99 a month and does what it says on the tin, including older games like Far Cry 6, Rainbow Six Siege, and Watch Dogs: Legion

This catalog will grow as time progresses, offering more games.

It's worth mentioning that all these titles are already available to PlayStation gamers as part of the higher tiers of PlayStation Plus, Extra and Premium.

We hear in the official announcement that Ubisoft+ Subscribers have played 600 million hours since it launched, while 2023 was the service's biggest year.

Ubisoft+ is above the publisher's projections in terms of acquisition of new users, and October 2023 was the biggest month ever in terms of monthly active users.

Interestingly, one subscriber in ten is someone who has never played a Ubisoft game before.

Last, but not least, we get the hint that the service will add Activision Blizzard games in the future as well, part of the deal with Microsoft that paved the way to the acquisition of the house of Call of Duty and World of Warcraft.

That being said, nothing has been said about it besides that Ubisoft is "working on the offering right now to make sure it's the best possible experience for the subscriber."
