Toy Soldiers

Toy Soldiers HD, Toy Soldiers: Cold War HD, and Toy Soldiers 2: Finest Hour have all been announced to be released on modern consoles, with the HD remasters coming to the Nintendo Switch and Toy Soldiers 2 coming to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows.

Toy Soldiers HD is a remaster of the award-winning Xbox Live Arcade Release Toy Soldiers that released 10 years ago. The game is essentially a tower defense where the player takes control of toy soldiers that are fighting for control of the battlefields of Europe. Players can deploy tanks, cavalry, biplanes, and flamethrowers. The game can also be viewed from a strategic view, which is good for those who need to see the bigger picture before launching an assault.

The new version of Toy Soldiers will feature new content, options, difficulty, HD graphics (duh) and texture overall, an improved camera and controls, and the original DLC released included in the campaign "flow".

Toy Soldiers: Cold War HD is set in the '80s when action toys come alive to wage war. Players can take control of the Cold War arsenals of the USA and USSR, with players able to control turrets, modern combat vehicles such as fighter jets, attack helicopters, and commando action figures. The HD version of the title will have the same added features as the Toy Soldiers HD version, but the website doesn't really say much besides the fact that it exists and it's releasing this Spring, which means within a month or so.

Toy Soldiers 2: Finest Hour is set in WWII, and will have players survive Axis domination on Dunkirk, the beaches of Normandy, and the Pacific ocean. Included nations are the USSR, Japan, USA, Britain, and Germany. New modes include improved multiplayer, overcharge, deadly barrages, competitive mini-games, survival modes, and more.
