Today JVCKenwood Victor Entertainment announced that it will release a new 3D action RPG game based on the popular anime Tokyo Revengers

While the game will be free to play with optional microtransactions, it won't be just for mobile. It's multiplatform and it's in development for PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, PC (via the DMM platform), iOS, and Android. Service will start in Winter 2023 in Japan. At the moment, no information has been provided about possible Western localization, so we'll have to wait and see if any publisher will pick it up.

This new Tokyo Revengers game from the label Victor Entertainment Games promises a reproduction of Shibuya's cityscape populated by high-quality 3D versions of the anime's characters. The story follows the original and the voice actors from the anime will reprise their roles.

A teaser trailer (which doesn't show much) has been released, and you can watch it below.

Incidentally, today we also got the reveal of the first trailer of the new season of the anime, which will debut in October 2023.

If you're unfamiliar with Tokyo Revengers, it debuted as a manga by Ken Wakui on Kodansha's Weekly Shounen Magazine in 2017. It then sparked a popular anime TV series which debuted in 2021, on top of multiple live-action movies.

While we don't know whether the game will ever reach western consoles and devices, we'll keep an eye on this, and keep you informed on whether we hear more.
