If you didn't get a chance to try out the Stellar Blade demo when it was briefly (and accidentally) released earlier this month, you're in luck.

Sony and Shift Up have announced the Stellar Blade demo release date, and this time, it's (probably) not going to be immediately deleted from the store after release.

You'll get a chance to try out the post-apocalyptic hack-and-slash actioner from the creators of Goddess of Victory: Nikke on March 29th, according to a new PlayStation Blog post.

The official release of the demo follows an accidental launch earlier this month, which saw the demo appearing on the PlayStation Store before being swiftly pulled, presumably because it was made available by accident.

You'll soon get a chance to try out the hack-and-slash action game Stellar Blade.

According to Stellar Blade director Kim Hyung-tae, the demo will run from the start of the game up until the first boss fight.

This first stage will also include a tutorial to help acclimatize you to Stellar Blade's controls. What's more, the demo will include "a little surprise" for you if you manage to make it through the first stage.

Completing the demo will allow you to transfer your save over to the full game, which is coming in April. Director Kim says that the demo will help you appreciate Stellar Blade's "various charms", including its "smooth 60fps combat" and DualSense haptics.

The upcoming Stellar Blade demo will let you sample the hack-and-slash game's smooth combat.

The Stellar Blade demo will be available starting from 2pm GMT, which is around 7am Pacific and about 10am Eastern. You'll be able to access various voiceover and text languages, too, including English, Korean, French, and a number of others.

If you're not familiar with Stellar Blade, it's an action game created by the folks behind the mobile gacha RPG Goddess of Victory: Nikke (although Stellar Blade doesn't have any gacha mechanics as far as we know).

It takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth and follows Eve, a soldier on a mission to save Earth from the alien forces that have overrun it. However, Eve quickly discovers that the situation may not be quite as clear-cut as she thinks.

You'll be able to check out Stellar Blade when it launches exclusively on PS5 on April 26th. The demo will be available via the PlayStation Store on March 29th.
