Did you love Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order? Do you wish there were more Star Wars games on the horizon? Well, you might be in luck, if a Twitter PSN bot and a prominent source of leaks are to be believed. Whatever Star Wars: Project Maverick might be, it's supposedly been added to the European PlayStation Store database.

The Twitter bot "PSN releases" tweeted earlier today that Star Wars: Project Maverick has been added to the database. Twitter user Gamstat backs up the authenticity of PSN releases on Twitter; Gamstat says that the bot "might be a better way" to track new releases that are added to the PlayStation Store database. These two bits of information together suggest that Project Maverick, whatever it is, has some legitimacy. Gamstat has previously leaked the existence of Resident Evil 3's upcoming remake and the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo appearing on the Store, so it's a fairly trustworthy source.

That brings us onto the question of what exactly Star Wars: Project Maverick might be. According to PlayStationLifestyle, EA Motive Studios currently has two projects in the works, one of which is a "very unique Star Wars experience". Maverick could well be this unique experience. It's also worth noting that according to Kotaku's Jason Schreier, EA canceled a spinoff of Star Wars: Battlefront last year. Again, Maverick could be this spinoff in a new guise.

Since we don't know anything about the gameplay or setting of Star Wars: Project Maverick, we can only speculate at the moment. The teaser image shows off an Imperial Star Destroyer and a group of X-wings. These elements aren't unusual for the Star Wars universe, of course, but Maverick could be heading in any number of directions here. We'll bring you more on this story as soon as we know more ourselves.
