Xbox has announced that it's teamed up with Best Buy, Paramount Game Studios, and GameMill for a special SpongeBob SquarePants-themed Xbox Series X.

In an announcement post on the official Xbox website, Xbox says that by using Best Buy Drops via the official Best Buy mobile app, you'll get the chance to bring home a SpongeBob-themed Xbox Series X bundle.

The bundle not only includes the console itself, but also a SpongeBob-themed controller that features the show's most iconic characters, including SpongeBob, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs.

Since the bundle is intended to promote the crossover fighter Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, which launched across PC and consoles back in November (and even included one of our wishlist fighters for the first game), you'll also get a digital copy of the game if you pick up the SpongeBob Xbox.

Sadly, it doesn't look like there's a corresponding SpongeBob-themed Xbox Series S; you'll have to content yourself with the more powerful (and pricier) of Microsoft's two consoles.

The bundle will exclusively be available via the Best Buy mobile app, so you'll need to download that and be ready to buy as soon as inventory appears. As Microsoft says, the bundles will only be available while stocks last.

Unfortunately, you won't be able to grab this bundle if you're outside the US, since it's intended for US customers only.

If you're lucky enough to be in the US and you want to pick up a SpongeBob Xbox, you'll need to fork out $699, which is around $200 more than you'd pay for just the console on its own. Do remember, though, that you're getting a game and some pretty sweet custom artwork in the bargain.

The SpongeBob-themed Xbox launches exclusively on the Best Buy mobile app on Thursday at 8am Pacific (that's around 11am Eastern). If you don't have the app yet, you can download it here.
