Nintendo has announced the commencement date for the Splatoon 3 Drizzle Season. It's all kicking off on September 1st.
New Splatoon seasons begin every few months; the game's inaugural Chill Season began back in November last year, for instance, and the new Drizzle Season will follow on from the current Sizzle Season.
In the Drizzle Season trailer, we get a glimpse of the new content we can look forward to when this exciting Splatoon 3 season starts.
First, we get a look at a new stage, Crableg Capital. It's a highrise building site with plenty of ledges and corners from which to ambush your opponents.
We then get to see the rather amusingly-named Dread Wringer main weapon, which works similarly to the Slosher, so it's great for mid-range and close-quarters combat.
Another new stage, Shipshape Cargo Co, takes place on a ship covered in cargo containers and debris.
The serene waters through which you're sailing make for a good backdrop for the frenetic action that's bound to erupt when you take on enemies on this stage.
The Heavy Edit Splatling is another main weapon making its debut in the upcoming Splatoon 3 Drizzle Season. It's a rapid-fire minigun-style weapon with a surprisingly long range.
The Salmonid Smokeyard stage is also making its return for Salmon Run, along with new work suits to snazz up your Inkling.
All of that is accompanied by new gear to unlock, as well as new cards for Splatoon 3's Tableturf Battle card game and new challenges to take on. Suffice it to say this is going to be a pretty packed Drizzle Season.
