It’s a new month (and year) for PlayStation Plus members, which means another round of monthly games for gamers who use Sony’s premium service. As is customary, PS Plus members will have access to two PS4 games, two PS3 games, and two PS Vita games for the whole month of January.

PS4 owners will receive Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and Batman: The Telltale Series. Mankind Divided, a sequel to 2011’s Human Revolution, is a game set in a cyberpunk future where people can receive hi-tech augmentations, like mechanical limbs or cybernetic eyes. Much like its predecessors in the franchise, the game explores serious, real-world issues, such as racism and social oppression, by creating parallel situations in its story. It’s a tale about rising tensions between natural humans and cyborgs, and player character Adam Jensen is in the middle of it all. While the game is mechanically sound, the story doesn’t necessarily pay off toward the end.

Batman: The Telltale Series is yet another episodic game from the developers at Telltale, done up in a comic-book style. Players are put in the cowl of Batman, the broody detective of the DC universe. Unlike other games in the universe, like the Arkham series, Telltale put a much larger emphasis on Bruce Wayne, the billionaire behind the mask. It’s a different take on a cast of characters that have been seen in the media countless times, and this first season stands as a truly unique Batman story.

PS3 owners can look forward to playing Sacred 3, an arcade co-op hack ‘n’ slash game by Deep Silver, and The Book of Unwritten Tales 2, a point-and-click adventure game by KING Art. For the PS Vita, the subscription grants its members access to Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness and Uncanny Valley, both of which are also playable on the PS4 via cross buy. The former is an anime visual novel set in a dystopian future inspired by the implementation of advanced technology into everyday life. The latter is a survival-horror game that puts players in the shoes of an overnight security guard in an eerily abandoned facility.

As extra icing on the cake, PS Plus members can also play Starblood Arena from January 2 to March 6. This PSVR title is an online shooter that puts players in different spaceships as they participate in colorful dogfights. In addition, Warframe players will also receive the PlayStation Plus Booster Pack II Bundle, which is available until February 13. When obtained, players will receive 100 platinum, 50,000 credits, Akmagnus Dual Pistols with an obsidian skin, a 3-day Affinity Booster, a 3-day Credit Booster, and a Dragon Mod Pack.

What do you think of January's PlayStation Plus offering? Are you itching to jump into any of these titles, or are you working on your backlog this January? Let us know in the comments below!
