During this years Game Developer Conference it is being reported that Sony will be having a four-hour long event for the Playstation 4 VR headset. According to Polygon the event will take place on Tuesday, March 3 and will be a "four-hour event focusing on its PlayStation 4-based virtual reality headset Project Morpheus" and "We'll be given hands-on demos of the system, along with an update on the company's plans for virtual reality."
A one hour session titled Beyond Immersion - Project Morpheus and PlayStation on Wednesday, March 4 had been announced. Polygon now claim that Sony will also host a standalone four-hour event.
It was at GDC 2014 that Sony first revealed the long rumoured Project Morpheus, and it was only days after the reveal that another VR headset, The Oculus Rift, was bought by Facebook for $2 billion.
Since it has now been a year that Sony first showed the Virtual Reality headset it is hoped that a good amount of information will be revealed at this years GDC. With Microsoft announcing its Hololens just a few months ago people will be excited to see what Sony will be showing off.
Now with all these companies striving for a VR future, Sony will be eager to show that they can stand toe-to-toe with the likes of Oculus Rift and deliver on what so many people are hoping will be the next evolution of gaming.
