Full Circle and Electronic Arts have some happy news for skateboarding enthusiasts: the Skate 4 PC release has been confirmed, bringing the next generation of skateboarding games to one more platform.

Skate is EA's answer to Tony Hawk's Pro Skater. While the THPS games have a more arcade-y feel, the Skate games focused on precious trick control through the use of dual analog sticks.

Sadly, it's been quite some time since we got to play a new game in the franchise. The most recent release was 2010's Skate 3 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Things had been relatively radio silent over at EA since then until a somewhat disappointing teaser trailer debuted last month that confirmed a new release for the franchise. Now, EA has just announced that this new Skate game will be coming to PC, too.

The announcement was made in a tweet on the game's official account. If you're hoping for any substantial details(such as the price, platform, or system requirements, you're going to be disappointed — the only thing we really know for now is that a Skate 4 PC release is on the way.

When is the Skate 4 PC Release Date?

Unfortunately, today's announcement did not reveal the Skate 4 PC release date. To be fair, Full Circle and EA have not announced the Skate release date for any platform just yet.

For now, there's not much more to do but wait for this cool new game to make its way to PC and consoles. If you don't want to wait, there's plenty of fun to be had; you can play the first Skate game on Xbox Game Pass right now.

Are you looking forward to the Skate 4 PC release? What's your favorite game in the Skate franchise? Let us know in the comments below!
