Disappointing Skate Teaser Trailer cover

Skate teaser trailer has released today for the next entry in the skateboarding game franchise from Electronic Arts, but don't get your hopes up — it showed no gameplay whatsoever.

The Skate series of games have been dormant for well over a decade. That changed when an announcement was made at EA Play last year stating that it was making a comeback. That was followed by the announcement that EA was forming a new studio called "Full Circle" to work on developing the game. Now, we got a look at a brand-new Skate Teaser Trailer... that didn't really show us the game at all.

Skate Teaser Trailer Shows Influencer Reactions (and Not Much Else)

The Skate Teaser Trailer showed us the reactions of some influencers and developers juxtaposed with images of people in motion capture suits riding skateboards in a studio... and that's about it. This trailer arrived just one day after another disappointment: Skate won't be shown at this year's EA Play event.

"Now, we know many of you were hoping to see more from us this week but we're not ready for prime time just yet and we won't be part of the EA Play Live show on Thursday," read a tweet from the game's official account. "It's still early and we are committed to doing this thing right which means it's gonna take some time."

For now, it looks like we'll have to wait to see what this game looks like. You can learn a bit more about Skate on its official website.
