Today Nacon released a new trailer and a brand new demo of the upcoming first-person shooter RoboCop: Rogue City.
We actually get to see that the game isn't just a pure FPS, as it includes RPG elements. These go beyond the unlocking of skills in a variety of trees with skill points, but also realm choices with consequences on the story.
At the moment, we don't know how deep these consequences will be, but it's certainly promising.
We also take a look at an evaluation system that will provide us with a bird's eye view of our performance providing us with bonus XP.
The skills we can pick include Combat, Armor, Vitality, Engineering, Focus, Scanning, Deduction, and Psychology.
On top of the trailer, Nacon has also released a demo on Steam, allowing you to enjoy the beginning of the game.
While the game isn't just a straightforward FPS, there is still plenty of shooting to be done, as you can see in the trailer below.
RoboCop: Rogue City, which is development by Teyon of Terminator: Resistance fame, will release on November 2, 2023 on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
If you're unfamiliar with the IP at the base of the game, RoboCop is an American action movie directed by Paul Verhoeven and written by Edward Neumeier and Michael Miner.
It debuted in 1987 to widespread acclaim and box office success, and the rest is history. It'll certainly be interesting to see if the game will be worth of the legacy of its inspiration.
