If you've been looking for some sort of scary way to participate in Red Dead Redemption 2 for Halloween, then Rockstar has you covered with the Fear of the Dark event.
This new multiplayer game mode is a twist on the normal Showdown mode. One team will play as completely normal cowboys and cowgirls, armed with the same tools as they always are. The other team gets to play as night stalkers, which are supernaturally fast and strong. However, there's a twist to this mode. There are skulls littering the map. While the skulls are actually on the map, the empower the night stalkers. If the mortals pick up the skulls then the night stalkers lose some of their power, while the cowpeople get access to better weapons. The night stalkers are going to have to deal enough damage that the mortals can't make a comeback once they have the advantage. This mode will is in the game and running until November 12th. Additionally, from now until November 3rd, you'll get 3x gold and 2x dollars in this mode.
However, that's not all the new content being added to Red Dead Redemption Online. There's also a new legendary bounty in the form of Tobin Winfield. A corrupt politician, your goal is to catch him and bring him to justice, and maybe earn some of the money he stole away in the process. There are also quite a few new character customization items available for you to buy, and several bladed throwing weapons are currently being sold at 30% off.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is currently available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, with a PC version due to launch on November 5th, 2019.
