The Raven – Legacy of a Master Thief, originally released in 2013, is getting a new remastered edition for PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this year. Simply titled The Raven Remastered, the original game and the updated re-release are both developed by KING Art and published by THQ Nordic (Formerly Nordic Games).
The re-release will feature fully remastered animations, HD upgrades for both lighting and hair and add subtitles to the game in French, Spanish and Simplified Chinese. While graphical enhancements are always a welcome upgrade to any game, the story will remain the same. The Raven begins in London in 1964 where a priceless ruby is stolen from the British Museum with only a single raven’s feather left at the scene as a clue, imitating the work of a master thief who disappeared years before. Now Constable Anton Jakob Zellner finds himself in the middle of a murder investigation that he never imagined and must work to outwit the audacious thief who always seems to be one step ahead of him.
The game is a point and click mystery adventure, described by the developers as a “whodunit” and is in the vein of classic detective novels such as those of Agatha Christie and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Originally released in a three-part episodic format, The Raven also follows the dual perspectives of both the constable and the thief throughout the course of the story in their thrilling chase across Europe and Africa.
The Raven Remastered will be released for PC and Mac, as well as Playstation 4 and Xbox One on March 13, 2018. A price has not yet been announced.
