If you've ever wanted to date a dinosaur, boy do I have a game for you! Raptor Boyfriend is an upcoming dating sim that will let you date a skateboarding velociraptor — and that's not the only romantic oddity.
In Raptor Boyfriend: A High School Romance, socially anxiouss girl Stella moves to a small town only to discover that it's packed full of cryptids. For those of you that don't watch Joe Rogan's podcast, a "cryptid' is a strange animal or creature that people claim exists but has yet to be proven — things like Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, and the like. Now you can date them!

Stella will have to decide between three potential romantic interests. The first the Skateboarding velociraptor Robert (no relation) who also happens to be a poet. Your second choice is your childhood friend Taylor: a moody, guitar-playing Bigfoot. Finally, you can choose to date the fairy Day, a talented artist who doesn't seem to have the strongest self-confidence.
You'll be able to experience all of the charm of being in high school in 1997, including no Internet access, music on cassette tapes, phone calls, and sleepovers. I'm not entirely certain if this is a parody of dating sims or just a dating sim with a weird theme, but it looks pretty cool either way!
When is the Raptor Boyfriend Release Date?
The Raptor Boyfriend release date will be sometime in Early 2021; no price has been announced. We don't yet know if it's coming to any platforms other than Steam, but it will have full controller support on launch.
For now, you can add Raptor Boyfriend to your wishlist on Steam. You can also vote for the game as one of the most-anticipated Canadian games of 2020 if you think it beats out the competition.
