PlayStation Plus is Sony's online service for the PS4 and PS5, but that's not all it does — every month, gamers get access to full versions of two games for as long as they maintain an active subscription. The reveals for this month are delivering not two, but three great games for you to enjoy — let's break down what's coming for December 2020!
PlayStation Plus December 2020 Games – Just Cause 4
The first (and biggest) of the PlayStation Plus December 2020 games is Just Cause 4, the latest entry into the franchise filled with explosive adventures. Special agent Rico Rodriguez heads to South America once again to the tiny country of Solis.
While this game does have a story, it's more well-known for the sheer amount of chaos that players can cause with their special gadgets. The fan-favorite grappling hook makes a return, allowing you to create crazy contraptions on the fly as you fight to free the people of the land.
PlayStation Plus December 2020 Games – Rocket Arena
Rocket Arena is a 3 vs. 3 online shooter. Each of the game's heroes has distinctive abilities that set them apart from the rest along with their own unique visual style, and that's just scratching the surface of this cool multiplayer game.
You and your team must use your high-flying abilities to defeat your opponents while also using in-game items like the Rocket Magnet and Trip Mine to shake up the battlefield. As you progress through the game, you'll unlock new cosmetics and, more importantly, powerful new artefacts to boost the stats of your characters and even change the way they play!
PlayStation Plus December 2020 Games – Worms Rumble
The final addition to the December 2020 games on PlayStation Plus is Worms Rumble, the latest entry into the franchise. 32 players are tossed into cross-platform combat with one goal: blow your enemies to smithereens using high-powered weaponry.
Previous games in the Worms franchise had players commanding squads of the destructive little creatures; Worms Rumble mixes up the formula by making it more like a Battle Royale game while maintaining much of the same fun gameplay and explosive chaos.
And that's it for the PlayStation Plus December 2020 games! There's even more in store for gamers on PS4 and PS5 — this month's announcement also mentions that a free online multiplayer weekend will be taking place from December 19–20, 2020, giving everyone a chance to play with their friends whether or not they're a subscriber.
For now, though, there are three great games for you to grab starting on December 1, 2020! You'll be able to get these games until January 4, 2021. You can get a PlayStation Plus membership in 12-month, 3-month, and 1-month increments to get access to these games and all of the fun of online multiplayer gameplay on PlayStation consoles.
