Today at Nintendo's September 14th Nintendo Direct a port of Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door was announced.
A trailer was shown highlighting key moments from the story including the different companion characters that Mario encounters in this RPG adventure. Fans of the original will be glad to see these characters not only with upscaled graphics but also in a widescreen format.
Interestingly unlike other games that we've seen get a HD treatment the name for Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door seems to be unchanged as it's joining the roster of games ported to the Nintendo Switch.
When is Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door releasing for the Nintendo Switch?
There's no release date at this time for Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door for the Nintendo Switch. The trailed simply concluded with a black screen and the text "2024" across it.
Once this game releases it will join the original Paper Mario in the Nintendo Online N64 game selection. It will also be joining Super Mario RPG, a port of the Super Nintendo game, that will be releasing onto the Nintendo Switch later this year on November 17, 2023.
