Today NIS America released some more information about Ys VIII Day One edition - or, the first-print run of PlayStation 4 copies in North America and Europe. The Day One edition will include a 5 track OST sampler (notably it is the same selection that was originally available as a pre-order bonus for the Vita version in Japan) as well as a 32-page art book detailing characters and the world of Ys VIII. I can't say for certain, but the book appears to be the same art book that players that pre-ordered Ys VIII's Japanese PlayStation 4 release would've received, too. Although the PlayStation Vita will receive a physical release at the same time as the PlayStation 4 version, the Day One edition will remain exclusive to the PS4.

In addition to today's news regarding Ys VIII's Day One edition, NIS America also announced the winner of the game's reversible cover art contest. You can find some photos showcasing both the Day One edition as well as the reversible cover art below, near the bottom of the article. Finally, NIS America has released a new trailer detailing some of the playable characters - the noblewoman Laxia, the middle-aged fisherman Sahad, the enigmatic "transporter" Hummel, and the Seiren Island native Ricotta (as well as showcasing some of their English voice work), which you can find embedded below.
