There's a new Redfall trailer in town to get you hyped for this vampiric shooter, which is due to arrive in May. The trailer introduces the twisted and warped world Arkane has created for the game, showing off and emphasizing some of the trippier and weirder aspects of that world.
Redfall was once a nice, quaint town, which is probably why it was ground zero for a vampire invasion. The sun has been eclipsed and the once-quiet town of Redfall is now overrun by the bloodsuckers, so it's up to you to head in and take down the warring factions that now fight for dominance over the island. You can check out the new Redfall trailer here.
The trailer opens with an aerial view of Redfall and a series of voiceovers darkly intoning about what's happened to the place. As the trailer progresses, we see (and hear) the vampiric menace that has overrun Redfall; vampires whisper hoarsely as the corrupted environments of the town are put on full display.
Arkane's new trailer also shows off Redfall's weirder and creepier moments. Objects float in mid-air as one of Redfall's characters wonders where she is, comparing the town to "the weirdest dream". A large screen shows a man suspended in some kind of shield as a voiceover tells us we are "not supposed to be here".
Following all of this creepiness, we're reminded that Redfall is an action-packed game as well, as a voice over a radio tells us to find weapons and take the fight to the vampire menace. It's all pretty exciting stuff, and it should get you even more hyped for Redfall ahead of its arrival on May 2nd this year. It's coming to Xbox consoles and PC via both Steam and the Microsoft Store, and it'll be available to play on Xbox Game Pass on day one as well.
