Level-5 has released a brand new Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road trailer showcasing some of the game's "newly evolved" gameplay systems.

The newest entry in the Inazuma Eleven franchise was confirmed to be coming West back in March, and we're now getting a new look at how the gameplay will work.

We get to see new midfield maneuvers, demonstrated by a player confronting another in the middle of the pitch and then breaking through his opponent's defenses.

Following that, the Scramble system gets a demonstration, in which two players battle for a ball that's been passed overhead. Whoever wins the scramble gets possession of the ball.

The Quick Action system will allow you to "activate special actions during specific plays", and we see two strikers using this system to set up a shot on goal.

The trailer also shows off the different display modes and gameplay styles you'll be able to choose from in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road.

These include horizontal and vertical handheld modes (presumably for Switch and mobile devices), as well as TV mode for Switch and PS4.

You'll also be able to play Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road with touchscreen controls on Switch and mobile devices if you prefer a more hands-on approach. Just don't touch the ball or you'll give your opponent a free kick. (Not really, of course.)

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road is the latest installment in the Inazuma Eleven series of strategic soccer RPGs.

The project was announced back in 2016 and has been subject to a couple of delays, but it's now scheduled to launch sometime in 2023.

We'll get to see another trailer on September 16th, which might also be when we finally get a release date for this long-awaited RPG. Stay tuned to TechRaptor for more information on all things Inazuma Eleven.
