It's time for a new Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections trailer, and this one's introducing three brand new characters into the mix. As well as established Naruto and Boruto characters, the trailer shows off the debut of Boruto's Karma variant, Kawaki, and Jigen, all of whom are joining the roster.
The trailer begins by showing off the Baryon Mode variant of Naruto and Sasuke as a supporting Kage, both of whom look like they're packing some pretty powerful moves. This is a typically high-octane trailer, too, demonstrating the frenetic anime fighting action you can expect from Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections.
After we see Naruto and Sasuke, we're then introduced to Karma Boruto, who's apprehensive about the power he's wielding. By contrast, the standoffish and rude Kawaki is determined to use Karma as he sees fit. We then see Boruto and Kawaki battling against a series of opponents and showing off their moves.
After these two strut their stuff, it's Jigen's turn to take the stage, and the elegant novice monk has some moves up his considerably-sized sleeves as well. Jigen's signature chakra-draining black rods are present and correct; you'll use his ninjutsu to strike your enemies repeatedly with those rods, and you'll also take advantage of his excellent physical conditioning to overwhelm your opponents.
If you're not up to speed with Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, it's the latest Naruto fighting game to be announced by publisher Bandai Namco, and it's heading to PC and consoles sometime this year. Originally unveiled during February's PlayStation State of Play showcase, the game will feature over 124 playable characters and will collect key moments from the first four Storm titles into a single game.
Naruto x Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections is scheduled to land on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in 2023. Stay tuned for more news on this celebration of all things Naruto and Boruto.
