Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruins' release date was revealed to be for this Summer, while Monster Hunter Rise will receive a new demo as well. There was a lot of other information in the digital event, so let's get to it!

Monster Hunter Rise's Demo Returns

The demo extends Monster Hunter Rise's earlier demo will have the same quests while also adding a new harder quest to it. The demo will return on March 11 and players will have the chance to take on the Magnamelo, which is Rise's signature beastie that players have been chomping at the bit to take down.

As part of the event featuring both games, Capcom announced crossover armor that's available for players of both games. If you link your Monster Hunter Rise save data with Monster Hunter Stories 2 you'll receive the Kamura Garb, which you can get a peek of right here:

With Monster Hunter: Rise releasing on March 26, there will be paid DLC from the game's launch and updates after Rise's release will begin in April. The first Monster Hunter Rise update will bring a new monster, Chamelos, along with several other new monsters for players to hunt down and skin. There will be another patch later on with more monsters for players to track down and slaughter as well, but its release date hasn't been announced so players will have to sharpen their knives and wait.

There's also a Rampage Quest Type that will be available in Rise which has players protecting the village from hordes of monsters. Players will hunt installations to repel and keep the stronghold safe. Essentially, it's a base defense mission type that should be an interesting addition for Monster Hunter fans.

Monster Hunter Stories 2 Release Date Announced

Speaking of release dates, the release date for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin is July 9, which should give players more than enough time to beat Rise and prepare for the second Monster Hunter game released this year. It's a pretty good year for Monster Hunter fans, eh?

That's not all the Monster Hunter Stories 2 information either. There will also be three new amiibos that will be available for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Ena, Razewing Ratha, and Tuskino. Today's trailer revealed that the egg hatched with Razewing Rathalos who bonds with your player character as you seek to confront the legend around him. Returning from the first Monster Hunter Stories is Navirou, and there will be co-operative multiplayer tasks.
