Today Microsoft released Sim Update 13 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, while third-party developers shared news and releases about their aircraft and scenery add-ons.

The update includes a lot of new features and improvements, including fixes for lingering crashes and optimizations for memory and performance.

The infamous white dot has been fixed and active pause has (at long last) been improved. A couple of critical fixes have also been applied to AI traffic (which means FSLTL also released an update to match).

The various Garmin avionic suites got a number of improvements and fixes, and the Boeing 787-10 and 747-8i received another overhaul, including Simbrief integration and the EFB for the 787.

You can find two videos showing the features off below.

There is plenty more to the update, and you can find the full patch notes on the official site

Speaking of 787, the upcoming freeware modification to the popular 787-9 version by Horizon Simulations received new screenshots and a development update, including a look at liveries by SCOTSGOD, Max, zaph, davidn123, and raimbotrax.

Liveries
Our livery creators have been hard at work creating liveries, whilst we cannot provide what liveries will be out upon release, keep your eye out in screenshots from our staff members for some these liveries. However please bare in mind the aircraft is still in beta and nothing is final.

Gear Compression
Rob has been hard at work these last few days fixing gear compression on both the 787-8 and 787-9 and as you can see in the video it makes all the difference!

Flight Model
We are undergoing more changes in the flight model of the 787-9 our QA Testers have been excellent in providing feedback and I can assure you we're making as many changes as we can to make this 787-9 the best long haul airliner to fly in MSFS

Textures
We recently had been in contact with MoreRightRudder - Mike to enhance the cockpit textures and as seen below Mike has done an absolutely outstanding job at this, giving an amazing level of wear and tear to the 787 family. Myself and Max have been hard at work with new engine textures trying to get them as accurate as we can with the sims lighting engine, and I can confirm we're at a point where I'm happy with these new engine textures.

Some screenshots were also shared by iniBuilds about the upcoming Airbus A300

We learn that the engine and APU will have cowlings that can be opened exposing the interior, letting you perform maintenance via the EFB tablet,
