Third-party developers released new screenshots of an upcoming aircraft and scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator while more add-ons have been released.

We start with a couple of releases starting with the Short Stirling by Virtavia. RAF's first World War II four-engine bomber is available on SimMarket for $26.49 plus applicable VAT including the Mk.1, Mk.3, and Mk.4 variants.

Here's what you get in the package.

  • PBR materials/textures used throughout
  • VR tested
  • Wwise soundscape, Hercules engine sounds, switch/knob clicks
  • very detailed cockpit with numerous animations and mousable controls
  • working Lorentz Indicator (uses DME/NAV1 LOC)
  • togglable crew ladder
  • togglable crew figures
  • animated cockpit windows, bomb bay doors in both wings and fuselage
  • animated cowl flaps
  • authentic flight model
  • 28-page illustrated User Operating Manual

Next, we get a smaller but interesting release from Orbx, and it's Soldier Bar Airstrip (85U) in the US.

This small but scenic and challenging bush airstrip is available on Orbx Direct for $6.70.

  • 40+ custom assets
  • Extensive vegetation creation and placement
  • Signature McCall Aviation 206 livery
  • Enhanced terrain and texture work for an authentic experience
  • Campsite and pit toilet
  • By Milo Taylor

DC Designs published its usual weekly update with two new screenshots showing the work-in-progress cockpit of the F-4 Phantom. The detailing of the cockpit is taking more than expected, so the release date will be delayed compared to the plans, but the developer promises that it'll be worth the wait.

The developer expects to complete modeling and animation next week, which will enable texturing and final coding work to start. The custom sounds by Sim Acoustics will also be ready for launch.

We then take a look at another upcoming airport, as Drzewiecki Design shared new screenshots of its upcoming Tallinn Airport (EETN) serving the capital of Estonia. Not only do we see the airport, but also several surrounding landmarks. Unfortunately, the release date is still unknown.

Last, but not least, Onfinal Studio released new images of its Kirkenes Airport (ENKR) in Norway. While there is no release date yet, the developer says it's gonna be soon.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, including Game Pass.
