Microsoft Flight Simulator - Sea Hurrican and Avro Lancaster

It's World War II day for Microsoft Flight Simulator news today, as we have new screenshots of not one, but two (actually you could say three) vintage warbirds.

All of them actually come from a single developer, and it's Aeroplane Heaven. We start with the Hawker Hurricane which was announced a few weeks ago.

Interestingly, some of the liveries will include both clean and weathered versions, including the restored UP-W, which is the only Hurricane from the Battle of Britain still airworthy. On top of that, the package will include the Sea Hurricane version, for the Royal Navy fans out there.

The first two pictures portray the Sea Hurricane (which you can recognize from the livery and the arresting hook for carrier landing), while the rest show the UP-W. Both aircraft are shown clean and weathered.

You can check both out below.

For something definitely larger but still pleasing for Royal Air Force fans, is a look at the Avro Lancaster.

Specifically, we get to see the aircraft with one of its most iconic loadouts, the massive 9,000 lb "Dambuster" backspinning bouncing bombs used in the famous Operation Chastise in 1943, which led to the breaching of two dams and the flooding of Germany's industrial heartland.

You can check out what they look like below and imagine flying these massive birds 60 feet above the water at 240 mph.

As usual, you should keep in mind that here on TechRaptor, we have daily Microsoft Flight Simulator news to keep you informed about the many add-ons announced and released every week.

These include aircraft, scenery (airport and landmarks),  and even utilities to make your simulation more realistic and comfortable.
