Third-party developers have showcased upcoming aircraft add-ons for Microsoft Flight Simulator, while an airport has been released.

We start with the freeware Embraer E170 and E175 by Ouroboros, which got a development update and new screenshots on the developer's Discord server

Specifically, we get to see the new flight deck lighting, with the following changelog.

  • Interior Lighting
    • All Emissives Updated
    • Legacy XML Code Removed
    • Fully Adjustable Floodstorm/Glareshield Lighting
    • New PFD, MFD, EICAS, Potentiometer values
    • Custom dome lighting effects
    • Chart lights added with custom effects to futher simulate bulb warmth
  • Interior
    • EFB

You can check out the new screenshots below.

More work-in-progress images come from SimWorks Studios showing progress on the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress.

The exterior is almost finished including various configurations, tall and short tail fins, 3 different noses, 4 different tail gun setups, 2 different wings, and 3 engine types.

The "likely" release strategy will include two packages, one with earlier models (from B to F) including NASA's "Balls 8" and “Diamond Lil”, and the second with B-52G and H.

Last, but not least, Aerosoft and Sim-Wings released Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport (LEBL) in Spain.

It's available on Aerosoft's own store for $29.27 including the following features.

  • Highly detailed scenery of the international airport Barcelona "Josep Tarradellas - El Prat" and the immediate vicinity
  • All buildings and service facilities
  • Realistic 3D terrain made from DEM (elevation data) with sloped taxi- and runways
  • Custom aerial image for the airport, elaborately color-corrected and retouched
  • Up to date runway, taxiway, apron and stands layout (2024)
  • Custom taxiway lights, with some made to work in one direction only (at one-way rapid exits for instance)
  • Custom and accurate taxiway signage
  • Extremely detailed airport buildings, Terminal T1 and T2 with interior airside
  • Terminal T1 has recently constructed southern connection buildings and jetways
  • Animated jetways, static jetways at alternate parkings
  • Aerosoft VDGS safegate system
  • Many custom-made static apron vehicles and cars
  • Realistic night time dynamic lighting
  • Car bridges added to upper highway system
  • Replaced MSFS default street overlays with custom ones
  • MSFS SDK materials (PBR)

It's worth mentioning that this is a completely separate project compared to the rendition released just a couple of days ago by MK Studios.
