The Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 will be making their way to the Nintendo Switch on May 22, 2018, according to a blog post on Capcom's website.
Mega Man is a classic video game character that first debuted 30 years ago, and now the Blue Bomber will be making his way to Nintendo's newest console in the Mega Man Legacy Collection and Mega Man Legacy Collection 2. The Mega Man Legacy Collection features the first six adventures of Dr. Wily's greatest opponent. Some sections of these games are the very definition of Nintendo Hard, and players who aren't quite up to the challenge will be able to take advantage of the Rewind feature that will allow them to take another crack at some of the particularly difficult platforming sections in the game. (I hope you like disappearing platforms & timed jump puzzles because there are plenty of those in the game's early entries.)
As for the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, it includes games 6-10 in the series. (It's important to note that Mega Man 10 and Mega Man X are different titles and not to be confused with one another.) A Challenge Mode lets players play through remixed levels for placement on online leaderboards. Sound Mode lets you rock out to some of the best video game music out there, and Museum Mode features a number of different bits of history about the series to explore. The 9th and 10th entries in the series will include all of the DLC released for those titles.
You'll be able to snap up the Mega Man Legacy Collection for $14.99 or your regional equivalent and the Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 for $19.99. Check out our review of the first collection! Diehard fans can grab the first Legacy Collection on a physical cartridge (along with an exclusive 30th-anniversary cleaning cloth and digital download for the second Legacy Collection). Both titles will be available for the Nintendo Switch on May 22, 2018.
