A Hero's Rest, which is being developed and published by indie studio Vanargand Games, will have players managing a fantasy town and the heroes that will help defend it from harm. Developed by only two developers, A Hero's Rest will have players building shops, crafting gear, and sending heroes off on quests to ward off dangers that threaten their town when it releases on Early Access in Q3 2022.
What else can I expect from A Hero's Rest?
In the lands of Felonia and due to His Majesty the King, players are given the role of the proprietor of a fantasy town where heroes will be recruited, resources will be managed, and shops will be supplied. The game will also offer seven different workstations to build in shops, along with thirteen (eventually sixteen) different rafting categories with four tier levels to equip and customize the heroes with. Crafted gear will also be able to be shown off in various displays, which is pretty cool, and there's also an in-game achievement system and dynamic weather system to mess around with.
Shops will be built across multiple landscapes and will each provide a boon to the town. It will also provide players a way to gather resources and interact with the heroes that will protect their town. Tools provided to the player from shops like the Innkeeper and the Apothecary will both influence the fate of their heroes and secure their safety as they complete quests and overcome dangers that threaten the town.
