Think video game developers aren't doing their jobs properly? Well it's time to let a few of them know how you think. The Magic Circle is making its way to the PlayStation 4 and it's made to do that exactly.

Putting you in the role of a video game character in an unfinished video game that has been stuck in development hell for 20 years, The Magic Circle is a first person comedic puzzle game that should be on the lists of anyone who cares about video game development. In the game you must capture the various creatures roaming around and reprogram them to serve your purposes. Along the way you can watch the entertaining bickering between the various developers who all think the game should be taken in different directions. Will you fight to get the game canceled for good, or finally get it to a working playable release?

Something that the developers talked about included making sure every puzzle had multiple solutions. Their goal was making it so no puzzle had one "set" way to finish it and that you can get around any puzzle a multitude of ways using your creativity. A large part of the game is also diving around various "canceled" versions of The Magic Circle, each of which look like they were from different eras and systems.

Originally released on the PC back in 2015, The Magic Circle was heavily praised and well received by many people (including those at TechRaptor). This re-release, dubbed The Magic Circle: Gold Edition comes with improved engine, AI, and lighting system.

The Magic Circle: Gold Edition will launch on the PlayStation 4 May 10th, 2016. There is no price announced, but the PC version is $19.99 so we can assume the console version will cost similar.
