The next big content drop for Just Cause 4 is out now in its entirety for season pass owners, while everyone else will have to wait until July 3 for the everything included to become available.
The Trials, Toys, and Terror update brings the Los Demonios content pack, the Free Challenges update, and the Toy Vehicle pack.
A Square Enix development update says “a parasitic infestation now spreads across the island of Solis, terrorizing its inhabitants and attacking anyone that stands in its way. Los Demonios will challenge even the most experienced action hero. Rico will need all of the skills & toys at his disposal in order to face the horrifying new threat and eradicate the demon invasion permanently, before it’s too late!”
The Free Challenges update is also available now. Square Enix says the update's free challenges are scattered throughout Solis for all players and will “test the limits of their mastery over Rico’s skills and gear.” These challenges will be updated throughout the next year on a monthly basis. Completing these challenges will reward players with cosmetics including wingsuit and parachute skins.
The Toy Vehicle pack is also available now from the new Black Market store. It includes miniature sized tanks, boats and jets for both Rico and Black Hand enemies. New premium packs will be available each month through the Black Market store.
The update also brings the Just Cause 2 Rico skin to all players for free. This new skin is an update of Rico's 2010 look, providing a little pang of nostalgia for Panau. Developer Avalanche Studios’ Bryan Rodriguez said the Los Demonios pack is a “return to the classic liberation style gameplay” and that it will feature Just Cause 4’s “most challenging combat yet.”
The Free Challenges and the Toy Vehicle pack are available now for all players. The Los Demonios pack is out now for Gold Edition and Season Pass owners. The pack will be available for individual purchase on July 3. Just Cause is currently available for 60% off during the Steam Summer Sale.
