I am an Air Traffic Controller 4 Airport NEW CHITOSE

Following the announcement from a few weeks ago, Japanese developer Technobrain released the new DLC for the Steam version of its ATC simulator I am an Air Traffic Controller 4.

The new DLC adds an entirely new airport and it's a big one, New Chitose (RJCC) serving the capital city of Hokkaido prefecture, Sapporo.

The DLC comes with interesting challenges including the fact that New Chitose shares the grounds with Chitose Airbase of the Japan Air Self Defense Force, so you'll have to handle its F-15 Eagle fighters and even the famous "Japanese Air Force One" Boeing 777.

On top of that, Japan Coast Guard flights and the winter season will provide more gameplay opportunities on top of the usual airlines. Speaking of which, it's worth mentioning that the DLC, like the rest of the localized version of the game in English, comes with fictional airlines replacing JAL, ANA, Air Do, and the others. I always hope that the developers will change their minds about this, but no luck so far.

The DLC can be purchased on Steam for $31.99 including a 20% launch discount. Speaking of discounts, to celebrate the new release the base game is 50% off and the other DLC, Naha airport in Okinawa, is 25% off.

At the moment, we don't know whether the other airports released for the Japanese version (the latest was Sendai last year) will be released on Steam as well. In the meanwhile, you can enjoy the trailer below.

I am an Air Traffic Controller is a long-running franchise in Japan, having debuted all the way in 1998, and its fourth game launched on Steam in 2020 featuring Haneda Airport in Tokyo. The first DLC focusing on Naha Airport in Okinawa was released in 2021.

Incidentally, if you want to play on Switch, a dedicated version titled I am an Air Traffic Controller - Airport Hero Haneda is also available, published by Sonic Powered.

Technobrain is also known for its awesome flight simulator airports, and they already released two for Microsoft Flight Simulator, Yao and Kansai International Airport. At the moment, they haven't yet announced their next airport, but you can follow our daily MSFS coverage to be informed when they do.
