Microsoft Flight Simulator Oklahoma City Airport Announced; Oslo Gets New Screenshots; Subang Released

Microsoft Flight Simulator Oslo

Today third-party developer revealed news about a couple of relevant airports for Microsoft Flight Simulator, while another has been released. 

We start with iniBuilds, which announced another major airport in the United States, Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City, United States. It'll come with the following goodies. 

  • Fully modeled interior
  • Up-to-date airport and terminal layout
  • HD textures
  • 3D people models
  • Detailed jetways
  • Correct airline parking allocations
  • Fully modeled landside
  • Custom taxi signs 

Below you can also watch a trailer and enjoy a few screenshots. The airport will be released sometime in February 2023, so the wait won't be long.

Next, Aerosoft shared more screenshots of its Oslo Gardermoen Airport (ENGM) serving the capital of Norway. The screenshots show some rather extreme attention to detail by creator Jo Erlend Sund

As mentioned yesterday, this is a completely separate project compared to the one in development at Orbx

Last, but not least, Shadescene released Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport, serving Subang in Malaysia. It used to the main airport serving the Kuala Lumpur area before the opening of the new international airport in 1998. 

It currently focuses on regional flights, general aviation, and cargo. You can purchase it on Simmarket for $10.65 plus applicable VAT for a limited time before the price goes up to $12.83 plus applicable VAT. Here's what you can expect:

  • Modeled the famous old terminal 1
  • Custom terraforming 
  • Custom scenery objects for the Terminal, Hangar and more
  • High resolution textures
  • Air Force and Special Operation Air Wing site
  • Hand-placed Taxiways and Runway light system. Taxiways center, Taxiways edge, Runway light system, etc.
  • Full Day/Night lighting.
  • Hand-crafted ground markings and textures.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is currently available for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox Cloud Gaming, including Game Pass.
