Today Compile Heart released new screenshots, artwork, and detail of its upcoming JRPG Hyperdimension Neptunia: GameMaker R:Evolution.

We learn that during the JRPG gameplay, you can form your party of four girls however you want including adult Neptune, the three new goddesses, the four goddesses, and the goddess candidates. Within dungeons, you can also ride a motorcycle to move faster.

There are also motorcycle races split into time attack modes and races proper, in which you compete against monsters on various courses to earn rewards. Various gimmicks are scattered on the courses and mastering them is key to winning.

You can customize your motorcycle by changing its appearance and performance. There are over 300 accessories available.

During battles, by switching characters with the right timing and attacking you can activate a chain, which increases the damage multiplier. By linking chains together you can form link chains which can deal even greater damage.

Each time you take action your link level gauge increases and you can use it to activate powerful Exe Drive special moves. When you reach a certain link level the Exe Drive changes to Link Drive which increases its power and adds support effects by other party members. Connecting link chains lets you increase your link level efficiently.

Last, but not least, we get the introduction of a few characters acting as rivals, Ehusha, Bisha, Shisha, Kesha, and Esusha. You can check out all the assets below.

Hyperdimension Neptunia: GameMaker R:Evolution releases in Japan on August 10, 2023, for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

At the moment, no announcement has been made for the west and we'll probably have to wait a bit longer, as Idea Factory International tends to wait at least a few months before announcing localizations. Of course, we'll let you know as soon as a western release is announced. Considering precedent, it should be a matter of "when" more than "if."

In the meanwhile, you can also watch the previous trailer and the original reveal.
