Forge mode released for Halo 5: Guardians back in December and with it Forgers have been going crazy. There have been all kinds of maps created from original designs, movie sets, and even recreations of Halo CE maps. 343 industries is doing what they can to shine a bit of a spotlight on these community maps by giving forgers the chance to have their maps be a part of Halo 5.
It's the end of the January 2016 season and so the top community Breakout maps are being put into the Breakout playlist. You'll have a chance to play all of these in the hopper to see how good they are. Then next week you will be able to vote and try to decide which of these maps you enjoyed the most. When the fan votes have been concluded the winning maps will be entered into the February 2016 Breakout playlist. They won't replace the on-disc Breakout maps but be mixed in with them to ensure there is a good mix of maps.
There are ten maps that have been selected to be up for votes next week:
- Absolute by Black Picture
- Apparition by II Sethiroth II and Warholic
- Calan by Classy Moth and Vorked Manback
- Deadcenter by Solo XIII
- Epicenter by A Chunk and Xxandrith
- Havoc by II Sethiroth II
- Highrise by Randy 355
- Overpass by Solo XIII
- Pylon by Darkprince909
- Simulation by Berserk on XBL and Lil Black bubba
If you want to see images of all of the maps then you can head to the original Halo Waypoint blog post. If you wish to know when the voting process has started then be sure to keep an eye on either HaloWaypoint.com or the official @Halo Twitter account.
What do you think of having community made maps included in the official Breakout playlist? Have you already had a chance to try out any of these maps? Would you like more of this Forger integration in the future of Halo?
