A Google Stadiia Chromecast and Android TV release is just around the corner! You'll soon be able to play your favorite Stadia games on more TVs and devices before the end of the month.

Google Stadia is Google's game streaming service that allows you to play all sorts of video games without having to worry about owning a video game console or powerful PC. Stadia has certainly had its fair share of troubles in recent months with lead executives departing the division, but work on expanding the service appears to be continuing in earnest. Now, Google has announced that the Stadia service will be arriving on even more devices later this month.

Stadia Coming to Multiple Android TV Devices

The Google Stadia Chromecast release will make it easier than ever to stream games to your home. You might not even have to worry about buying new hardware (save for, of course, the Stadia controller or a compatible Bluetooth controller). Here are the models getting Stadia support this month:

  • Chromecast with Google TV
  • Hisense® Android Smart TVs (U7G, U8G, U9G)
  • Nvidia® Shield TV
  • Nvidia® Shield TV Pro
  • Onn™ FHD Streaming Stick and UHD Streaming Device
  • Philips® 8215, 8505, and OLED 935/805 Series Android TVs
  • Xiaomi® MIBOX3 and MIBOX4

Mind, this isn't an all-inclusive list; the Stadia blog post mentions that other Android TV models can opt into experimental support for the service. Presumably, Stadia will come to more Android TV devices at some point in the future.

When is the Google Stadia Chromecast and Android TV Release Date?

The Google Stadia Chromecast and Android TV release date will be June 23, 2021. That's not a bad way to start off the summer!

For now, you can look forward to playing Stadia games on your Android TV device in just a few short weeks. Once this update goes live, you should be able to download the Stadia App via the Google Play store and get right to gaming. You can learn more about Google's game streaming service on its official website.
