Today Koei Tecmo released a new trailer of its upcoming action JRPG Fate/Samurai Remnant

The trailer focuses on showing plenty of familiar characters from the ultra-popular Fate series, on top of new ones, like the newly-revealed Tamamo Aria, one of the Tamamo Nine who was showcased a couple of days ago at Fate/Grand Order fest in Japan alongside Cú Chulainn.

They're both classified as Stray Servants, who can be befriended and can accompany hero Miyamoto Iori in battle instead of Saber.

You can check out the trailer below and see if you recognize everyone.

Fate/Samurai Remnant will release on September 28, 2023, for PS5, PS4, PC, and Nintendo Switch in Japan, while western fans will have to wait a day longer, until September 29. Pre-orders are already available on all platforms.

If you'd like to take another look atthe game, you can enjoy another recent trailer that introduced the story and characters

If the Fate series doesn't ring a bell for you, it originally appeared in Japan in 2004 with an adult-oriented visual novel named Fate/stay night. The franchise then followed the route of many popular Japanese series which debuted as eroge, abandoning its adult nature (while keeping a modicum of fanservice), widening its target and becoming massive multimedia IP including anime, manga, and more. This popularity culminated with the mobile game Fate/Grand Order, which is one of the most played mobile games in the world.
