It's a good day to be a farming sim fan, with Farming Simulator 22 Platinum Edition and an expansion being announced. The expansion comes with the Platinum Edition, which also comes with the base game, making it a great starting point for those interested in becoming virtual farmers. Farming Simulator 22 Platinum Edition comes with 40+ new vehicles and tools, new gameplay features, new brands, and a new map. Let's take a look at it, shall we?

What's included in Farming Simulator 22 Platinum Edition?

To start, a whole lot of new brands are coming to Farming Simulator 22: Volvo, IMPEX, John Deere, Koller, Komatsu, Pfanzelt, Schwarzmüller, and more are on their way.

“What we cultivated here by reaching platinum state, is the most extensive and diversified virtual farming experience the genre has to offer”, comments Boris Stefan, Head of Publishing at GIANTS Software.

Silverrun Forest is the new map coming with the Platinum Edition, and it's a map inspired by the Pacific Northwest. Its "woody landscapes" has many different options for players. These range from new forestry missions, planting new types of trees, building a boat, and taking on various other projects.

No treehuggers allowed.

With the Platinum Edition on its way, there will be over 500 machines in the game from over 100 agricultural manufacturers around the world when it's released. That's a lot of machinery, and it looks like the number is only going to continue growing over the coming installments of Farming Simulator.

If you already have Farming Simulator 22 and the Year 1 Season Pass, you already have a copy of the Platinum Edition coming once it releases this November for PC, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. If you don't have it yet, then can you really consider yourself a Farming Simulator fanatic?
