Today Idea Factory International released a new trailer of the upcoming JRPG Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord.
The trailer focused on showing off the gameplay features that fans can expect from the game including its tactics JRPG battle system with positional attacks and terrain management, character progression, location shaping, and the Fairize abilities.
Of course, the biggest new element is the Muses, who will deeply influence battles with their songs, Macross-style. Not only do they provide buffs to their allies and debuffs to their enemies, but they interact with each other as their areas of effect overlap, creating a Dramatic Resonance where the risks are high, but rewards can be just as impactful.

Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord is the latest chapter of the Fire Fencer F series and it has been available in Japan for a while. It will release in North America and Europe for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch on April 25, 2023. The game will also release on PC via Steam about a month later, on May 23.
