Epic Games has announced they'll be hosting their own video showcase with the Epic Games Store Spring Showcase coming this week. Designed as a place for Epic games to share a collection of new announcements, gameplay, and developer insights, it gives all the checkboxes that you would expect for an event like this, with perhaps the only surprise being that there's no announced Fortnite tie-in event for it.
This announcement comes just after Epic Games told PCGamer that they "have more exclusives coming in the next two years than we have published to date," and a dedicated event to announcements would be the place for them to unveil those. It also means we can expect the announcements here to be centered on Epic's own games and exclusives for their store.
Epic Games Store Spring Showcase Sale
An event like this isn't complete without a sale when held by a company with a platform. Starting Feb. 11, the sale will run through Feb. 25, and Epic has announced that games on sale will include Star Wars: Squadrons, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Hades, Cyberpunk 2077, and Immortals Fenyx Rising. Some of those games will be up to 40% off for major games that released relatively recently. They have a preview of the sale and a list of some of the games that will be in the sale which is available for you to add the games to your wishlist ahead of the sale.
When is the Epic Games Store Spring Showcase?
The Epic Games Store Spring Showcase will be held on Thursday, Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. Eastern. It will be hosted on the Epic Games Twitch channel. You can find out more about the whole event on Epic's site here.
