Today Electronic Arts announced changes in its structure and leadership which he called a move to "empower its creative leaders to drive growth."

The announcement, penned directly by CEO Andrew Wilson, mentions that the company's studios will be realigned under two organizations, EA Entertainment and EA Sports. Both organizations will still report to Wilson.

Laura Miele, Chief Operating Officer, will serve as president of EA Entertainment. Under her, Vince Zampella of Respawn fame will lead the studios working on Apex Legends, Star Wars, and BattlefieldSamantha Ryan will keep overseeing lifestyle franchises and single-player experiences developed by studios like Maxis, Full Circle, BioWare, and Motive. Jeff Karp will stay at the head of mobile games.

Cam Weber has been appointed as president of EA Sports, pretty much retaining his previous role but with "expanded business ownership" and overseeing the company's sports franchises like EA Sports FC, Madden NFL, more.

David Tinson will become Chief Experiences Officer and lead the EA Experiences team to "develop and scale services and capabilities across Commercial, Marketing, WWCE, EAX, and Positive Play." On the other hand, the previous Chief Experiences Officer Chris Bruzzo is retiring.

Lastly, Chief Financial Officer Chris Suh is leaving the company and will be replaced at the head of its financial department by Stuart Canfield, who previously was his vice.

This probably doesn't mean all that much for gamers, at least in a direct sense, but we'll have to wait and see if any tangible change in Electronic Arts' modus operandi surfaces in the future.
