As announced at EA Play 2019, EA is bringing a closed beta for Madden 20 between June 14 and June 16th. The announcement was slightly pre-empted by a tweet from Melissa Bowman, launch director for the Madden franchise. Codes for the Madden 20 closed beta will be given out during EA Play in Los Angeles, or via social channels like on Twitter, Twitch, and Reddit. Much like Madden 19 you'll be able to pick from four rosters and play online head-to-head matches with them. The main draws of Madden 20, Madden Ultimate Team and Faces of the Franchise won't be available during this first beta period. Xbox One and PS4 owners have a chance to earn codes throughout the next week for the closed beta, with PC players having no chance to access this first beta.
The four teams available for the closed beta are as follows:
- Kansas City Chiefs
- Los Angeles Rams
- New England Patriots
- New Orleans Saints
