Back in 2021, TxK Gaming Studios launched their Kickstarter campaign for Dungeon Full Dive. A VR experience that promises a fully immersive tabletop experience along with a robust suite of customizable features. Now, that game launches today on Steam Early Access.
The Dungeon Full Dive Steam Early Access Release
According to an official press release, the Steam Early Access version of Dungeon Full Dive contains the following features. Since it is a virtual tabletop, the game lets you create different battle maps based on a variety of locations, including towns, tombs, mountains, and forests.
In addition, the game has miniature customization. Since Dungeon Full Dive is aimed at fantasy RPG fans, the options err on the side of sword and sorcery.
Finally, Dungeon Full Dive allows up to eight players to join online. They can chat with each other and even roll digital dice in the application. Crossplay is also supported between PC and VR users.
The biggest unique selling point of this experience is the Full Dive Mode. At any point, a player can "dive" into their character model, allowing them to see the map from their character's perspective. They can even act out scenes with NPCs in this mode.
TxK Gaming Studios has stated that Chapter 1 of the game is currently in development. This will introduce character sheet support, specifically ones fully compatible with Dungeons & Dragons 5e. In addition, new assets and a new map will be added.
One of Dungeon Full Dive's promised features is an exclusive D&D one-shot. Said one-shot was designed by Robert Peak, also known as The Spontaneous DM on YouTube.
Dungeon Full Dive's Kickstarter campaign went live near the end of April with a crowdfunding goal of €10,000. The campaign concluded with €234,343, raising more than twenty times their funding goal.
