Arc System Works and Nexon have announced the release date for the upcoming DNF Duel DLC character Monk, and he's landing in just a couple of weeks.

Originally revealed on Valentine's Day, Monk will join the roster of DNF Duel on March 14th, bringing a hard-hitting combat style based on Holy Fist techniques with him.

He'll join previously-released DNF Duel DLC characters like Battle Mage, Brawler, and Spectre, all of whom you can pick up if you buy the game's Season Pass. They're also all available individually.

DNF Duel's Monk looks like he means business.

As you might expect given Monk's appearance, he's a punishing character who uses his fists to deal damage.

His combat style looks pretty slow and methodical, especially when compared to zippier characters like Battle Mage or Spectre.

Most of the moves we see in his debut gameplay trailer seem to suggest he's a fighter who relies more on dealing large amounts of damage in relatively few strikes than on speed or agility.

You can check out the debut gameplay trailer for DNF Duel's DLC character Monk right here. It should help you decide whether you want to main him or not.

Monk is DNF Duel's fourth DLC character, and a fifth is scheduled to arrive sometime in 2024. The silhouette used in the season pass preview is generic, so there's no way of guessing who it might be.

Still, given the regular release schedule of previous characters, it likely won't be too long until we discover who's behind that silhouette.

DNF Duel is a fighting game based on the popular Dungeon and Fighter franchise. It adapts character classes from that game into distinct fighters, each with their own moveset and play style.

You can pick the game up right now on PC, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch. Stay tuned for more news on all things DNF Duel.
