It's December, so it's almost time for DNF Duel players to enjoy a new DLC character, the Battle Mage.
Today Nexon announced a release date for the new fighter, which will launch as DLC and as part of the Season Pass on December 18, 2023.
At the same time, a new stage will be implemented, the Meister's Laboratory.
The announcement was accompanied by a new trailer showing the Battle Mage in action as she makes a short work of the Brawler. She fights using a combination of spears and magic and her moves are rather flashy.
The trailer also showcases the Meister's Laboratory stage, and you can watch it below.
The Battle Mage is the third character to be implemented in the Arc System Works-led fighting game published by Nexon, following the Spectre and the Brawler, who came respectively in July and September.
After taking a long time to release the first DLC character, over a year after the game's release in June 2022, it appears that its support has now reached a regular pace, which is certainly good for its fans.
We already know that two more characters are slated to come within the season pass in 2024, albeit specific dates aren't known just yet. We also don't know whether Nexon intends to follow this season pass up with another or not.
DNF Duel is currently available on PC, PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
The game is based on the ultra-popular action RPG Dungeon Fighter Online, which is one of the most successful games in Nexon's lineup. Due to that, it's not surprising that the publisher is working on expanding the franchise further with other games, including an open-world action RPG for PC, mobile, and consoles.
Speaking of fighting games by Arc System Works, we also just saw a reveal of a new character and more for Cygames' Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising.
