Unfold Games, which developed the action-adventure title DARQ, has made an agreement with publisher Feardemic (the publishing arm of Bloober Team) to deliver DARQ: Complete Edition to consoles. It should be released by December 2020.

DARQ: Complete Edition will be released this year, with physical console releases coming in early 2021. New content will also arrive for the title, with the first two free DLC's bundled with DARQ: Complete Edition. The first DLC "The Tower" has already been released, with the second DLC "The Crypt" releasing with the Complete Edition's release so that both the PC and console version of DARQ will have the same amount of content.

Over time, The Crypt has become more much ambitious than what originally been planned, and now it will offer new content, achievements, and new mechanics that haven't been seen in the game before.

DARQ has been in and out of the news since it released a year ago. In June of this year, the developer wrote a popular article detailing why he wouldn't sign an exclusivity deal and put his game on the Epic Game Store. Basically, he did it so that those who had already wishlisted the game on Steam and were excited to purchase it would get to purchase it on the platform of their choice. The post took off, as this was when the Epic Games Store exclusivity was at perhaps its most contentious, being shortly after Oublets announced Epic Games Store exclusivity. You can read the entire article here.

DARQ: Complete Edition will be released this year on PC and consoles, with physical console releases coming in early 2021. It's currently 50% off on Steam until August 17, so be sure to check it out here.
