The Darkest Dungeon 2 release date has been set for 2021, although it's not all good news for PC players who prefer a certain storefront: this upcoming sequel will be an Epic Games Store exclusive.

Darkest Dungeon 2 will bring players even more of the gameplay they've loved from the first Darkest Dungeon game. Players must guide a party of players through several challenging areas, fighting off enemies while managing the health and sanity of their heroes. It can certainly be a challenging experience, and now even more fun will be arriving for its fans next year!

When is the Darkest Dungeon 2 Release Date?

The Darkest Dungeon 2 release date will be sometime in 2021. Unfortunately, the developer has not yet specified a more exact release date.

Darkest Dungeon 2 will also be an Epic Games exclusive for a period of one year as explained in the Twitter replies to the announcement. Subsequent replies state that Darkest Dungeon 2 1.0 will release on "other PC storefronts" without specifying which storefronts it will be coming to.

As for consoles, the developers have stated that they have not yet finalized their console plans. The first Darkest Dungeon game came to PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS, and the PlayStation Vita. For now, you can add Darkest Dungeon 2 to your wishlist on the Epic Games Store.

Disclosure: Epic Games Store works with TechRaptor for affiliate partnership, and TechRaptor earns a small commission off purchases made from some links in this article.
