Today Ubisoft released a new video about The Crew Motorfest, and besides showing plenty of gameplay, it offers interesting insight into the history of the franchise.
Not everyone knows that the series traces its heritage all the way back to Test Drive Unlimited as its developer Ubisoft Ivory Tower was founded by TDU's director Stéphane Beley and producer Ahmed Boukhelifa, alongside Emmanuel Oualid, who also worked at Eden Games.
We then hear the developers relive the story of the franchise from the original The Crew released in 2014 to its second iteration, which is still played by one million unique users every week five years after its release.
The latter part of the video moves on to Motorfest, as the developers explain how the series has evolved to its latest iteration. You can watch it below.
The Crew Motorfest releases on September 14, 2023, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
